JEE [Mains]
2 Years Program
JEE [Mains] exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year in the months of January and April for the admission to various engineering colleges in India. JEE [Mains] has two papers, Paper -1 and Paper- 2. Candidates have options to apply for either or for both of them. Paper 1 is for admission to B.E/ B. Tech while Paper 2 is for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning (Paper 3 from January 2020) courses. Paper 1 is conducted online and Paper-2 is conducted offline only. Paper 1 comprises multiple-choice questions and numerical questions whereas Paper 2 comprises objective questions for both Math and Aptitude, numerical questions for Math and questions for the drawing section.
At Infinity Study Square (Coaching classes for CBSE & JEE), in the 1st year, the student in 11th would be first exposed to CBSE syllabus as per the chapter order given in the NCERT book. Of these, chapters which are relevant for JEE [Mains] will be dealt with students with objective questions, and other categories of questions as stipulated for practice.
Class 11th content for CBSE including JEE [Mains] will be catered to in 150 hrs of input on JEE [Mains] type which would comprise of 15 tests of 1 hour each and 10 Chapter End tests on CBSE framework. In addition to this, for CBSE there will be a 3 hour paper in the last week of August and a 3 hour paper in the first week of January. For JEE [Mains], there would be 3 dedicated tests of 3 hours each based on the content taught in the first year.
In the 2nd year, the designated content of 12th syllabus along with the relevant content for JEE [Mains] will be covered in 130 hours. Inter-Disciplinary type of questions will also be dealt with during this.
For CBSE specifically, there will be 10 Chapter End tests and 3 term examinations. 1st term examination will be held in the end of August, one Mock Board in January, and one Mock Board in February. JEE pattern will have 15 tests of 1 hour each and 3 to 5 mock JEE [Main] examinations.
